Getting error while downloading photos

asked 2022-04-27 16:27:57 -0600

Hi, we see this error very often with Northern New England Real Estate Network. Sometimes it works fine but more often than not we get this error. Below is some information. Can you help us look into it? Do you know why it keeps happening? Thank you.

Failed download photo for listing 4907067 status code : 403, url : We can't connect to the server for this app or website at this time. There might be too much traffic or a configuration error. Try again later, or contact the app or website owner.

If you search for 403 error you will see several about image downloads.
Basically there are limits on how many you can download within a time period before getting blocked for a few hours.

Hi, photo download is working for us from time to time, so sometimes it would catch up eventually. But it's often delayed. Can you clarify on the limits? Are we exceeding the amount of photos we're trying to download in a batch? Or do we log in and query too many times within a certain timeframe? What is the exact limit for our account? Any of that information would helpful. Thank you.

Hi, I just saw some other comment that the limit is set by each IP address, regardless of accounts? Just want to make sure I understand correctly because we're managing about 130 MLSs with Paragon logins, all from the same IP. If that's the case, it would be very easy for us to reach the limit.

Yes that is correct. It is per IP across all MLSs.
5000 is the threshold over 5 minutes, per IP across all environments.
