Photo Delays

Within the last few weeks we've been getting reports from clients of delayed listing photos (we receive the listing in our hourly import, but we do not receive the photos until the following hourly import). Looking at the timestamps in the RETS feeds, it seems as if the listing data and photos are being added to the MLS at the same time. Are you aware of any issues that would currently be causing photo delays?

For reference, we received reports from clients using the following MLSs/login creds:

Northern Great Lakes Realtors MLS - url: - un: T091317

Colorado Real Estate Network - url: - un: BoomTown1

We received another report of delayed photos from a client using an IDX feed from East Central Iowa Association of Realtors. - url: - un: boomtown

Just updating here that another client from Northern Great Lakes Realtors MLS reached out about this issue.

We are also seeing these photo delays for South Central Kansas MLS. Our client reported significant increases in delays over the last week.

Other than general processing time noted in the 6/21 response, are there any other known issues or causes for an uptick in these delays?

Photos are generally available in RETS as soon as they are available in Paragon.

There can be delays of anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes when Vendor RETS data pulls are in process while a listing's images are in the process of being updated and in a transient state.

There can also be longer delays in systems using data shares where listings could be available before their associated images due to import process latency, task sequencing and server loads.
