carmls timeouts

For the last 4 days this query has been timing out after running for 5 minutes. We have never had this problem before running this query.

Error Message: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Thanks for letting us know. When was the query you posted sent? We'll take a look at that time frame.

Also, we'd highly recommend you switch to HTTPS as HTTP will be discontinued soon.

Hi Joe, this query runs and responds immediately:

If you change the closing date filter from July 1 2022 to June 1 2022, it responds, but takes a good five minutes to do so. If you change it to May 1 2022, it times out.

That query ran shortly before I posted this message. It never used to timeout until a few days ago.

When you say a few days ago, since it's Wednesday, did it start on during the weekend?

Hi Constellation,

Please attempt your query again. We aren't experiencing a timeout, but the 2022-06-01+ still took us about 4.5 minutes to complete. We opened a work order to troubleshoot this slowness, but don't have an ETA on full resolution. Development indicated this has happened before, but it rarely happens. This will make root cause analysis a little more challenging.

our timeout is 11 minutes. the error is that the connection is closed by the remote host. this happens after exactly 5 minutes everytime. possibly the query runs faster on your end due to your location?

Try it again now to see if it is working better.

@jflaig We released the official fix for this to CARMLS now.
Can you verify that it is still working correctly and that the speed is still acceptable?

The permanent fix was released within the last hour or so keep an eye on it.

@jflaig The fix has been deployed to the remaining Paragon RETS servers so you can see if they perform better with the fix too.
