Field in returned Query not in METADATA (Redux) (ongoing CREN issue)

Hi Bruce,

We recently got access to another CREN feed setup specifically for sold listing data and it is having this same issue we've had numerous times. I was told on Thursday ""I’m sorry but it appears that Black Knight has a glitch with RETS server. I have put in a request for meta data up date that will happen tomorrow." but there was no change on Friday and the issue remains this morning. Can you request a fix?

Login URL is https://cren-rets.paragonrels.com/ret...

The username is REWeb2.

Thanks,

I just did a test and verified that the missing fields are contained within the metadata now.

Thanks!

One thing you could do to make your client pulls more bullet-proof is to pass the "Select" parameter in your search, specifying the fields you need and the order. Using Select also has the added benefit of reducing server load by not pulling data you aren't using.

The reason we don't use a select in general is to ensure we are aware of new fields being added since this can impact our field mapping.

Ok. Just thought I'd mention it just in case. Thanks.

I appreciate the tip. I'm gonna put on my thinking cap and see if there's a way we could integrate your idea to be more selective on our regular updating but perhaps have a less frequent process to verify for new fields or some such.

Cheers!

We have a number of customers who do a daily Metadata version check, to see if anything has changed. I believe the review is manual, but at least they know a change has occurred.
