Do I need approval from you to submit requests from a remote IP address?

  • retag add tags

Hi. I'm sucessfully downloading data using ezRets ODBC and my login credentials. I've always used the same machine (IP) to make these requests. Today I'm trying to access the data from a different machine, with a different IP and I cannot connect. Do you need to add my new IP to your list of approved IPs?

I'm accessing the data from the Outer Banks Association of Realtors

Thanks for you help.

The IP address shouldn't matter unless that IP address was blocked for some reason. What URL are you using to connect and your account name? Is the OS the same on both computers? Have you verified that the ezRets ODBC driver settings are the same? Also what error is being returned?

Yes the ezRets settings seem to be identical and both are running Windows 2003 Advanced Server service pack 2

Here's the error message from the log file * About to connect() to obarmls.rets.fnismls.com port 80 (#0) * Trying 208.93.242.132... * Expire cleared * Timed out * Failed connect to obarmls.rets.fnismls.com:80; No error * Closing connection #0

Thanks for you assistance.

"http://obarmls-rets.paragonrels.com/rets/fnisrets.aspx/OBARMLS/login?rets-version=rets/1.7.2" You should probably use this URL and set your RETS version in ezRETS to RETS/1.7.2 if at all possible. Trying to move people clients to newer RETS versions. Also, does it still work on your other computer?
