to get all the data do we need to use system name values and build our own DD for NNERN

  • retag add tags

it appears that the only way to get all the data is to use system names and build our own data dictionary. or will the feed become more RETS compliant and use standard names as they should be. the confusing part is your documentation uses standard names in the query. but when i use them i get a lot of missing fields. and i mean hundreds of missing fields.

if what we see is what we have to work with i would like to know so i can get started with building my dictionary and then fixing the fields that have different content that i used for custom searches

RETS StandardNames have been used where available, but they are assigned to a small set of fields. No additional StandardNames have been identified to be added at this time. We recommend using the SystemName in order to have access to all available fields. The local MLS has documentation showing the legacy SystemNames along with the Paragon SystemNames that may assist with your conversion.

There was NO conversion project manager. As a result, there is NO document showing NEREN Standard Names mapping to Paragon cryptic field names. Paragon's Standard Names have NO match to 196 NEREN Innovia Standard Names. Thus, hundreds of real estate vendors wasted time creating their own mapping.

I'm starting to see this being a problem with paragon. Seems to me they aren't compliant with anything nor do they care to have better naming conventions. I thought I'd see the indrudtry develop web API standards. To me it seems the indrustry wanrs to use outdated technology.

This is par for the course with NEREN. Has been for YEARS since Ambience. Nothing like changing stuff and not telling your RETS users either. That's always a fun game of hide and seek.
