NNEREN LM_Char_30_7 inexplicably removed from RETS

The Paragon/Innovia conversion spreadsheet states to use LM_Char_30_7 for Innovia OfficialTown. At some point on 9/12 this field has been inexplicably removed without warning. We've also noticed other metadata changes almost every day with new fields being added, others changed. What is going on? How can you kill the Innovia feed on the 23rd when the Paragon feed isn't even in order yet? Why would you even open the feed to developers when it is obviously not ready? If you are going to do something like this how about sending some sort of notfication and updating the conversion spreadsheet? This is unreal.

I'm also still seeing the issue with the Multi-Family feed. I've yet to be able to download all the properties, which concerns me because the old feed is supposed to be cut off in less than 10 days...

What concerns me the most is the lack of communication. There have been nearly 25 metadata changes in the last 3 days to RES alone. I'm afraid to even look at the other property types. We've prepared our client for the worst come the 23rd.

I really think they need to push back the live date. I am having to rebuild tables all the time, and the metadata for character count is all wrong. <sigh>

Do they at least tell us what changed in each metadata update? I'm just now wiring up NEREN for the first time...looks like I started at an interesting time.

LOL, yah, wait until you rebuild a table, then go to update, and the server is down, then you have to rebuild your table again. Have fun!

Yikes...think I'm going to wait on adding this feed. On a good note, I contacted NEREN's support and they said Paragon will now give notice before making changes and will email me...so that's cool. Hopefully they can provide this service more broadly to all customers and not just on request.

I agree with the mess that we are given to figure out what fields are usefull. first the LM_Char_30_7 is LM_char30_7 this may be a typo on your part, but i noticed that they are mixing capital and non capital for char and int. the field is now called unofficial town, the truth is it useless anyway, town and VillageName are all that is needed, i compared the official town with the City field and they are identical in the current feed.

but the multi feed is still breaking because of a bad field LM_char5_19 that needs to fixed, for Unit 2 lease Term they created a new field but left the old one populated and it has five characters and seasonal is 6 characters.

the moral of the story is i compare the metadata with the spreadsheets and they do not always match. this is most likely as much fault with neren as with paragon, neren keeps adding and changing stuff.

The NEREN field LM_Char30_7 has been discontinued, per request by NEREN. Notice for this field change, along with a few others were sent via email on Thursday. We apologize the notice was not made available sooner. From this point forward, notice will be sent prior to any Metadata refreshes and field changes.

Thank you - the communication is very much appreciated. Can you tell me when the daily changes to the metadata will be complete and RETS photos/data will be ready for production? We are 7 days away from cutoff and we're being left with very little wiggle room.
