RETS access cut off due to strain. Please reinstate so we can test.

  • retag add tags

Last week our access was cut-off and the MLS told us that it was due to strain we were putting on your RETS servers with no other details. We made some suggestions but they didn't get you to reinstate us until 4 days later so there was a bit of catch-up needing to be done... so you cut us off 12 hours later.. The MLS has finally told us what the problem was (our pulling of all available fields rather than selecting just what we need), and we've made a bunch of adjustment to our code to do just that. They no longer want to contact you to reinstate our access, asking us to open a ticket with you directly. So, could you please turn our account back on so we can test this out? If this isn't enough to reduce the strain I can also throttle our updates back from once an hour down to 4 or 8 or whatever you prefer.

With each day that goes by, we'll need to pull more data to catch up. This is a very large MLS and having no access is affecting 18 of our customers. Any news?

I am told you will need to go through the MLS to get your account enabled.

2017-12-14 Update: The user is back working now.
