Difference between Agent and ActiveAgent?

What is the difference between Agent and ActiveAgent, also tell the difference between Office and ActiveOffice.

ActiveAgent only shows Agents where U_user_is_active=1.

ActiveOffice only shows Agents where O_OrgAllwdCompAccess = Y.

Depending on the user's account profile, the user may only have access to one or the other or both.
