Failed to connect to columbiasc.rets.paragonrels.com port 80: Timed out

We are attempting to connect from a remote location (Macedonia) and getting timeout. Is this likely a block on the region? We can connection successfully form our Charleston SC office.

We do have blocks for some regions. What is the IP you are trying to connect from?

Hi There,

This is our developers IP: 62.162.73.158 (In Macedonia)

Also, the production server in Atlanta that will eventually host the site is: 45.79.211.111

Thanks, James james@cnmwebsite.com

Does every command timeout? Have they tried login in the browser and does it timeout there?

Yes, every command - via browser and code has this timeout issue.

We can successfully connect via browser and code from our local servers in USA.

I do see where that IP is listed on: "https://www.abuseipdb.com/check/62.162.73.158"

Sugar. She is part of my dev team working from a development office in Skopje. The report is a 0 risk report and was for the following: "Attempt to use mail server as relay (550: Requested action not taken)." This is a common task that we do which is related to connecting to Intermedia's "x-relay" system to send mail from our web apps. It is allowed by them but requires this testing. So it seems the IP was flagged for this?

From what our Network department says. They couldn't find where we were blocking the IP or region. Is there a different external IP address that you can try to see if you get the same timeout. Maybe on a cell phone browser or something?

You can also try HTTPS but you need to change the domain in your URL to:
columbiasc-rets.paragonrels.com
Also is this the address it is resolving to: 208.93.242.138

Will check that. She's on holiday today, but will be back tomorrow to test.

Have you made any progress with this issue?

Yes, Irena tested using a 3G connection and was unable to connect. It does seem to point to a regional block, but since your network folks checked that I suppose not.

We are going to get her to connect via VPN. Do you think that will be ok with the network?

Do you know what IP the 3G connection used? And was it still getting the timeout?

No sir. Will check with that when full team is assembled in the morning. Thanks for the support along the way!
