City name of "Update" [closed]

Hello Paragon crew!

We are using a RETS feed to connect to MiRealSource.

Our account login name is: MIRihrtech

We nave noticed there are some listings with a City name of "Update" that look to originate from other MLS's that MiMLS has a data share with. We are wondering if the "Update" value is there because the city/township is not supported by MiMLS's system, and it is getting converted to that value as a marker for data consumers?

We are trying to determine the best way to handle these listings, so I wanted to reach out to see if these listings having the city value of "Update" is a temporary solution, or something that is in place permanently?

Unfortunately this is caused by a data mapping issue that is tricky to resolve. This issue also occurs for the Area field for some listings as well. You'll need to confer with the MLS directly on the best course of action for listings affected in this way. There may be another field (such as Municipality) that has more reliable data.
