Strategic MLS Alliance - WebAPI token issues

asked 2021-08-19 10:28:03 -0500

I am wondering if there was some kind of unanounced environmental change made in the last couple of days. Suddenly when we request a token in C# using HttpClient from this URL:

https://smlsa.paragonrels.com/OData/s...

we get back this error:

The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

Until a few days ago this was working fine.

May not be your issue, but we get the same error when trying to access that URL using an older OS due to a cipher suite (TLS_ECDHE_RAS_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384) that is not supported on Server 2012 R2. It worked fine on our Win 10 development machine, but gave the above error when moved to our Server 2012 R2 production machine. Just ran into this late last week so don't know how long it's been like that.

I was able to obtain a token, and request property information with the credentials you provided.

It sounds like there is an SSL setting that was modified/updated on the client end. Also ensure the proxy settings haven't been modified, but the URL you have supplied worked for me to generate a token.

we have not changed anything on our end and the download was working fine for weeks. You have changed something on your end. can you please investigate?
